As we travel through time as grieving mothers, we may wonder how to show up for ourselves as we’re tending to our grief and trauma.
As a certified grief educator and grief movement guide who comes to this journey with 25 years’ experience facilitating creative groups, as a writer, as a gardener, as someone who cares deeply about finding peace and calm each day, I’m offering a series of workshops for moms that will encourage us to explore, express and enrich our lives through movement, creative writing and supportive seasonal activities, inspired by nature.
In this healing space, I’ll invite us to use trauma informed somatic movement, rooted in body, breath and sound, to soften and ground our awareness. I’ll offer creative writing prompts to help us to express our feelings. I’ll give Reiki – a technique that uses energy to reduce stress and anxiety and encourages relaxation in the receiver – to help us to surrender into the quiet stillness of our inner strength. I’ll lead a meditation to connect with the well of enduring light that glows within each of us, as we evolve on our path towards healing. And I’ll ask us to explore seasonally inspired nature-based activities to nourish our continuing bonds with our children. Each workshop will ease our bodies, minds and spirits.
These workshops are free with a suggested donation to my child’s nonprofit, encouraged.
Please stay tuned for the 2025 workshop schedule.
If you have a child or children in spirit, if your heart is hurting, if your mind is racing, if your body bears the pain of loss: Please join us in this oasis find comfort, community and a shared appreciation for nature’s capacity for hope, helpfulness and healing.
